Breath of Life Multi-Site Church

Breath of Life Church (Aliento de Vida) is an integral part of the Mexican Alianza Cristiana y Misionera (Christian and Missionary Alliance in Mexico), a global family encompassing more than 6.2 million members across 88 countries. Rooted in evangelical beliefs, the Alliance was established in 1881 by Canadian Pastor A. B. Simpson, uniting a group of believers dedicated to experiencing the fullness of Jesus and spreading His love to New York City's marginalized dock workers.

With a mission to bring hope to nations and proclaim Jesus' name in every tribe and tongue, the Alliance is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission – making disciples of all nations and bringing all of Jesus to all of the world. 

Breath of Life emerged in 2015 in the bustling city of Guadalajara, home to 5,000,000 inhabitants. Our purpose is to impact the Circle of Silence in central Mexico by multiplying communities of faith. Born out of adversity, our journey began when a cartel forcibly evicted us from a rental location just five days before our inaugural service. Faced with uncertainty, our group, consisting of two missionary couples and three Mexican families, demonstrated resilience and determination. Despite challenges, we launched the new church, holding services in an unfinished building provided by a generous contact. Since our inception in April 2015, we've embraced the challenge of establishing 5 churches in Guadalajara and one in the surrounding states by the end of 2025, encapsulated in our strategic vision, 5.5.25.

Today, Aliento de Vida (Breath of Life) church boasts five campus congregations – four in Guadalajara and one in Zacatecas. Our property, acquired in 2016, is now under construction to become a church home for 500, serving as a hub for our ministries impacting the Circle of Silence through church planting and community development.

In 2018, we adopted the multisite church model to facilitate pastor and leader training, accelerating church planting efforts. Our definition of a multisite church is one church meeting in different locations, maintaining consistency in name, beliefs, key ministries, and a shared teaching team among our campuses.

Though Breath of Life was born in adversity, we embrace risk-filled steps of faith to honor God, His Church, and His Word – the Bible. We are passionate about sharing the life-giving good news of the gospel, emphasizing forgiveness by Grace in Jesus, and we are willing to do practically anything to spread this message without compromising our integrity.

Multisite churches offer a significant advantage by engaging more people quickly in ministry compared to traditional church models. We maintain the same DNA, vision, strategy, leadership team, and budget across our campuses, enabling us to reach more people collectively than if we were individual churches.
